Remember the old Sunday School Song about “the wise man who built his house upon the rock” and “the foolish man who built his house upon the sand”?
I’ll skip the spiritual meaning of the song for now and just comment the simple physical meaning. “The foolish man” was building along the river where common sense would tell you that sooner or later it was going to flood.
We need to have government stop subsidizing bad decisions! Common sense tells us that if you subsidize something you get more of it.
